Looted and Left Empty
Hi Everyone, my name is Stefani Rusciano, a Long Island native with a heart for the community.
A friend of mine and my coach Cary Williams, owner of The Stables boxing club located in Santa Monica, CA experienced every business owners worst nightmare during the protesting and riots this morning - her business was broken into and looted.
As Cary watched the news and the peaceful protest one half of a mile away from her business, she didn’t believe anything was going to happen. But as evening approached she caught wind of the Walgreens located three doors down from The Stables being looted.
Cary started to feel increasingly uneasy and decided to drive down to the studio taking the back streets. She drove past a car on fire and as she got closer to the club, the police started blocking off streets.
When Cary made it to the back door and walked in, her “heart dropped.”
The club had been turned upside down and as she walked toward the front she could see that they had taken all of the studios camera equipment, the large flat panel monitor and attempted to steal the printer but they dropped it on the way out.
The studio was in shambles. Cary saw that they took most of the boxing equipment including dumbbells and medicine balls. This is a list of only some of the stolen or destroyed property in the studio: 2 cameras, 2 lenses, projector, printer, flat panel monitor, special connectors cords and chargers, apparel, boxing gloves, boxing wraps, dumbbells, medicine balls.. and that is just the beginning. That doesn’t include the damage to the studio itself and insurance does not cover this.
Our heart goes out to this beautiful woman and her business that did not deserve this treatment so we are asking for any amount from you to help her fix and replace everything that was stolen or destroyed.
Thank you and God Bless.
