Looe's New Years Eve Fireworks

My name is Tracey Pickard and I am one of a small group of volunteers who is coordinating the 2024 NYE Firework display in Looe, in partnership with the Looe Development Trust.

The annual displays on New Year’s Eve are one of the highlights of the year, for both residents & visitors to the Town.

With a children’s display at 6pm & the main display at midnight, the displays are not only a great way to celebrate, it’s also one that is of key importance to our tourism & hospitality sector in the middle of winter.

How Much Are The Two Displays?

The costs of the displays are around £6,000 - all other aspects of the running of the event are carried out on a voluntary basis.

So far, thanks to generous donations, we start 2024 off with £2,225 in the bank which is just enough to cover the deposit which is paid in June.

How Much Funding Is Still Required?

We would love to raise sufficient funds to cover the costs of the 2024 event plus a sizeable amount towards the 2025. We therefore aim to raise £8,000 between now and the end of 2024.
