My name is Elias Radravu, and I’m fundraising to bring my fiancée, Mili Bulou, to Australia on a Prospective Spouse Visa. Mili and I have been in a committed long-distance relationship for two years - she is currently in Fiji and I’m in Brisbane, Australia. We began talking in December 2023, and over the past year 2024 I’ve travelled to Fiji three times to be with her. During my second visit in July, my family and I travelled in Fiji to her village to perform traditional ceremony to ask for her hand in marriage, and it was an incredibly special and successful moment for both of us and both our families as well. Unfortunately, shortly after, Mili’s mum passed away, making things incredibly difficult. In 2024/2025, saving the full $10,000 needed for her visa has been challenging due to high rent, financial hardship, and losing $3,000 after being taken advantage of by people I trusted here in Brisbane. I’ve now moved into a sharehouse from the unit that I was living in, and currently have been able to save $4000 so far, so I still have a long way to go. The prospective spouse visa is a pathway for us to follow where Mili can come to Brisbane in a 9 month period granted by immigration so that we can get married here in Brisbane. Any support—no matter how small—would mean the world to us and will go directly toward Mili’s visa so we can finally start our life together. ❤️
