Friends who experience homelessness face winter months with higher levels of risk due to the cold, wet, windy, and otherwise severe weather conditions. Our experience at the Albuquerque Friends Meeting (Quakers) is that sleeping bags, blankets, and tents are in great demand during this time of the year. We have seen dozens of friends shaking, with teeth chattering, in the extreme cold of winter nights. We witnessed their surprise and gratitude when handed a sleeping bag or tent - treasured resources made possible by the 2021 Long Winter's Night Campaign. We launch this 2022 campaign in the hopes of continuing this life-saving work. Thanks for joining us once again.
