Long Term Help for Mike Natale After Tragic Work Injury

Our dearest brother Mike (Michele) Natale, a friend to many, but family to us, was the victim of a horrible workplace injury.

Mike has always had a way of bringing even his closest friends into the fold of family. He is now in a really bad place facing a very long road to recovery.

Mike has suffered a devastating injury to his lower back leaving both of his legs paralyzed. On May 2, 2025 Mike underwent spinal surgery, however he has a long road to recovery with the hopes of one day being able to walk again.

But through it all, Mike is showing signs of strength and resilience. While there is hope, we still do not know the full extent of the long-term impacts he may face.

Mike isn't just fighting for himself. He’s a step father, everyone's brother, a provider, a friend, and a pillar to many. As cement finisher and labourer, he works with his hands every day to support his family, not just financially, but throughout all other aspects of life. Right now, we don't know when or if Mike will be able to return to work or ever walk again. Doctors advised rehabilitation and physio could be as long as 18 months. Through unfortunate circumstances he has NOT been able to receive WSIB benefits, Employment Insurance and not even Union Disability benefits. With anticipated bills, household expenses, medications , and everyday expenses, his family needs the help more than ever.
