Hello everyone,

Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Lisa Dunn and like many of you, I found myself bewildered one morning as I awoke to the incessant drone of hundreds of small planes flying over my house every single day. The cacophony disrupted my daily life, preventing me from opening my windows, interrupting my sleep, and even hindering my ability to work from home.

Faced with this horrible situation I decided to take action I began making calls, sending emails, contacting my elected officials and engaging in conversations with my neighbors to uncover whatever information I could and the truth behind this new, intrusive phenomenon. Together with John Mosquera, a fellow concerned resident, we launched a community group page to address our shared concerns and opened up a 501c3 non profit.

As the weeks passed, our community group grew rapidly, drawing in more and more individuals who shared our frustrations and determination to seek solutions. Together, we are committed to understanding the legality and mechanisms behind these disruptions, and to advocating for our community's right to peace and quiet.

Dear Supporters,

We are a tight-knit community of residents in Long Beach, California, united in our fight against the increasing disturbance caused by general aviation operations flying over our homes. For nearly a century, we have peacefully coexisted with Long Beach Airport, but in recent years things completely changed, our tranquility has been shattered by a relentless influx of small general aviation planes flying over our homes, primarily from flight schools engaging in numerous touch and go sequences seven days a week.

Approximately two years ago, the frequency of these flights began to escalate, and within the past year, it has become unbearable. Our homes, many of which hold historical significance, are located in the beautiful neighborhoods of California Heights and Bixby Knolls. The excessive noise and disruption from over hundreds of flights a day at low altitudes have significantly diminished our quality of life.

Simple everyday activities such as sleeping, working from home, opening windows, and enjoying our backyards have become nearly impossible due to the constant roar of engines overhead not to mention that 90% of these small planes are still using leaded fuel. As a community, we have tried to address this issue through various channels, but without proper resources, our efforts have been limited.

That's why we are reaching out to you, our fellow community members and compassionate supporters, for assistance. Your donations will enable us to seek legal counsel to effectively advocate for our cause. Our intention is to allocate the entire fund towards retaining an attorney specializing in aviation, eminent domain, land use, and environmental law. This fundraiser will continue as we anticipate requiring additional funds as we progress.

By contributing to our campaign, you are not only supporting our community but also standing up for the rights of residents everywhere to live in peace and tranquility. Every dollar counts, and any assistance you can provide will be immensely appreciated.

Together, we can make a difference and reclaim the peaceful atmosphere that once defined our historical neighborhoods. Thank you for your generosity and support.
