On the 14th September 2025 I will be taking part in the LONDON TO BRIGHTON BIKE RIDE for CANCER RESEARCH.
In September last year, I lost my uncle to cancer. Dean Brasenell was only 50 — a kind, generous, and loving person who was the life of the party, taken far too soon. Watching someone you love go through cancer is something no one should ever have to experience. It’s heartbreaking, painful, and it stays with you.
This September, almost exactly a year on, I’ll be taking part in the London to Brighton Bike Ride in his memory. I’m riding not just for him, but for everyone who has been affected by this disease — for the families still fighting, for those in remission, and for those who never got the chance to win their battle.
I’m raising money for Cancer Research UK, a charity dedicated to funding life-saving research to help prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer more effectively. Every penny donated goes toward making sure fewer families go through what mine did.
Why it matters:
- 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime in the UK
- Research is the key to earlier diagnoses, better treatments, and more survivors.
- Your support can help bring us closer to a world where cancer no longer means goodbye.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world to me and my family. And if you can’t donate, just sharing this page can make a huge difference too.
Thank you for reading, thank you for supporting, and thank you for helping me turn grief into action. Let’s make a difference together.
