Altar Create CIC exists to open doors for people who have been overlooked, underestimated, or locked out of opportunity. Across our communities, many capable people want to work, learn, and contribute but face barriers that make progress feel out of reach. These barriers might be a lack of qualifications, confidence, support, or access to the right networks. We believe no one should be defined by what they’ve been denied.

Our work focuses on supporting people facing barriers into construction and the wider built environment including young people not in education or employment, women, people with lived experience of the justice system, neurodivergent individuals, and local residents seeking a fresh start.

We provide guidance, practical training pathways, wellbeing support, and real connections to employers. We work gently and respectfully, meeting people where they are and helping them move forward at their own pace.

At the heart of Altar Create CIC is the belief that opportunity should be designed with people in mind. When individuals are supported to grow, entire communities benefit.

Funds raised through this campaign will help us remove practical barriers such as the cost of essential qualifications, training, travel, and support so that more people can take their first steps towards sustainable work and long-term stability.
