I’m taking on the incredible challenge of running the TCS London Marathon – 26.2 miles through the heart of this amazing city – in support of SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society), a charity that holds a deeply personal meaning for my family and so many others.
Every day in the UK, around 13 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth. That’s 13 families every single day facing the unimaginable.
SANDS provides vital support to anyone affected by the death of a baby – offering a lifeline in the darkest moments. They also work tirelessly to fund research, improve maternity care, and raise awareness to help prevent more families from experiencing this kind of loss.
I’m running in memory of all the little lives lost too soon including my little brother and sister - and in honour of the incredible strength of the families who carry their memories every day.
Please help me reach my target, every pound will help every family who has gone through this and the families that may go through this.
Thank you for your support,
Arran
