London marathon for Cancer Research
Donation protected
I am running the London Marathon on October 2nd. Our family was devastated to hear my mother-in-law Kate Davies' diagnosis of stage IV bowel cancer in April this year. Kate recently passed away after only 5 months of battling this dreaded disease. Unfortunately the treatments were ineffective. Hence I wish to raise money to support cancer research at the Royal Marsden Cancer Centre, a leading cancer facility that also looked after Kate through this challenging time. Please donate any amount you can afford.
Kate was an incredible person and is already sorely missed. She had endless love and empathy for her family and those she came into contact with. Kate had a real zest for life and wanted nothing more than to support her family in any way she could. This run is for you, Kate.
Since the run was delayed due to COVID and thanks to Donor’s from 2.5 years ago, I was able to raise the minimum (£1,730) to support my Charity place in the London marathon, with Mind. In no particular order, with much gratitude, thanks to these legends for your support:
