Words cannot describe the admiration I have for my cousin. She battled cancer not once but twice and is a survivor. The trust gave her so much more confidence in her life, it allowed her to feel “normal” and gave her the opportunity to be with young people who had also had cancer. She is now a volunteer at the trust. So she is giving back and I wanted to help the trust by pushing myself physically and emotionally. I have never been athletic, sporty or even a runner, so this whole endeavour is a huge challenge for me. I know how much the trust has helped my little cousin and the difference it has made to her life and wanted to give a little back .

I’m a single mum with the most amazing little girl, who is my world. I want to prove to her that any challenge she faces in life, can be difficult but with hard work and determination; she can achieve her goals in life.
