London & Millie's FOREVER FAMILY

This is a story of two not so ordinary HEROS...it's about that couple who should have had 10 children, but couldn't, and instead chose to give of themselves to foster children in need of a home.
Meet my "little" brother, Michael and his wife, Brigette. Being the loving sister that I am, I figured Mike would never get married, (after all he was 34 and still single!) but along came Brigette in 2004 and she changed everything about that! I truly believe there are those people who are just "made for each other" and these two are those people. Easy going, fun and always making the best out of what life gives them.
Fast forward to September 2014. Some time had passed since completing their foster care licensing when they received the call to take in London, 1-1/2 and her sister Millie, 1. Overnight Mike and Brigette were parents and blindly opened their home and hearts to give shelter and love to these two little girls who had been in the court system most of their short lives. They had no idea where the road would lead and certainly no guarantees on how long they would keep them.
It's been nearly 5 long years of watching Mike and Brigette sacrifice countless hours in a court room waiting for the biological mother to even show up, only to be told by the judge, "we need to give her ONE more chance". Or hearing their heartache of having to allow visitation rights knowing the girls didn't want to go and would come back extremely upset and take days to readjust.
Yet, what impressed me the most is Mike and Brigette chose not to focus on the difficulties, instead they stayed the course with resilience, dedication, and a determination to ensure these girls have a life they deserve...a GOOD LIFE!
Finally, as of 2019 the courts have terminated all rights to the biological parents and are awarding Mike and Brigette the opportunity to adopt London and Millie into their FOREVER HOME with them!
The girls, now 5 and 6 are beyond excited to know they are NOT LEAVING the only real parents and home they have ever known.
THE FUNDS YOU DONATE WILL MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
It's beyond my comprehension how after all a foster parent gives to ensure safety, shelter and love for these children that they must then go into debt to adopt. Mike and Brigette are hopeful the process will be complete by August 2019 if not sooner, therefore it's imperative these funds together quickly.
Regardless of how much we raise, these girls are going to be adopted to their FOREVER HOME...but if we ALL COME TOGETHER to ease the stress of the financial part, imagine the blessing your help will be to them!
