#LogueStrong the little 4 year old who could!

Hi! My name is Tiffany but my best friend Carter has a fantastic 4 year old son, Logue, who is suffering from Nephrotic Syndrome.

Nephrotic Syndrome is a kidney disorder that causes the body to excrete too much protein in the urine. This causes the body to swell up with excess fluid that can’t get relieved until the protein levels are stable. Nephrotic Syndrome is treatable but can also last a few years or lifelong.

For a growing 4 year old, it’s really tough. Right now, when Logue’s protein levels are too high he’ll have to head into the hospital to help relieve the fluid that builds up in his body.

Sometimes these hospital visits are quick, and sometimes he’s in there for a couple of weeks trying to help his growing body respond to treatments. While Logue’s in the hospital, Carter and her wonderful husband, Russell, switch off staying with him to keep him calm and help get him care. Oh and by the way, they also have an adorable 2 year old daughter, Tessa, who also needs love and care while Logue is away.

So why a GoFundMe? Because Carter and Russell are both amazing educators who are having to use the small amount of personal days they have to take off and stay with Logue. Unfortunately, they are both close to having no more days and will have to take docked pay as a result.

This financial support would help relieve at least one thing on their plate as they try to get Logue back into better shape so he can be released from the hospital and be able to attend Pre-K again.
