Publication has been set for the first week of April.

Myname is Doug Ballinger, and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request. I have written a book, "Logan’s Story", about my son Logan—his vibrant life, his struggle with addiction, and the devastating loss we faced when he died from fentanyl poisoning in May 2020. It is a story of love, grief, and resilience—a father's journey to honor his son and turn heartbreak into advocacy.

Why This Book Matters

Logan’s Story is more than a memoir; it’s a mission. The opioid crisis and fentanyl poisoning are claiming countless lives, leaving families shattered. Through this book, I aim to shed light on Logan’s journey, humanize the struggles of addiction, and confront the stigma that prevents so many from seeking help. My hope is that Logan's voice, through me, will reach those who need to hear it—parents, children, educators, and communities.

The book also provides a window into the deep pain and healing process of losing a child to addiction. It’s my way of saying: "You are not alone, and there is a way to turn grief into action."

The funds raised through this campaign will cover the costs of professionally printing and distributing Logan’s Story. My goal is to make it accessible to as many people as possible—through libraries, recovery programs, schools, and advocacy events.
