Logan Shepherd - St Helen Community Garden Beds

My name is Logan Shepherd. I'm 17 years old and have been in Scouting since third grade, and I'm now nearing the summit of Scouting's trail -- the Eagle Scout rank.

In order to accomplish this feat, Eagle Scouts are required to design and conduct a project that benefits their community.

Since I was a child, I have been attending St Helen Roman Catholic Church in my hometown of Westfield, NJ. I progressed through Sunday School and CCD education, earning my First Communion and Confirmation along the way. Because of this, I wanted to use my project to give back to my community through St Helen. I believe a great way to do this would be through a community vegetable garden.

My project involves constructing raised garden beds in order to create a community vegetable garden that would help those in need. All funds raised will directly support my project and St Helen Roman Catholic Church. The funds will be used to purchase the materials to build, fill and seed the beds.
