Help Save Our Family Farm in Hāna, Maui

Hi, my name is Sabrina Davis with Coast Gallery Arts, I started this GoFundMe to help a dear friend save their farm.

In the heart of Hāna, a hardworking local family is facing a heart-wrenching dilemma. Uila and Jen Eleogram have poured their blood, sweat, and tears into their cherished farm, Aloha Grown Beauty. Their dream was to create a place where they could grow and share tropical produce, eggs, flowers, traditional farming practices and herbal health products with their community.

Despite the challenges, they opened the Farm Shop amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and their community rallied around them. But their dream is now in jeopardy. Jen received a demand letter from her aunt in June, insisting on the repayment of the down payment she had provided to help them acquire the property, along with interest.

Desperate to keep their farm, Uila and Jen worked tirelessly for the next five months to secure private financing with an investor to meet the aunt's demand. They believed they had saved their farm, even finding a business coach to take it to the next level. However, their hopes were crushed when the investor suddenly had a change of heart, instead wanting the farm and business for themselves and leaving them with shattered dreams.

Now, this loving and dedicated family, who have invested every ounce of their energy and resources into their farm, will be forced to sell to meet the aunt's demand. They face the daunting task of finding a new home for themselves, their farm business, and their hundreds of farm animals in a Maui home market where renting, leasing or even owning another farm is impossible, especially after the fires.

Their story is a testament to the resilience and determination of the local community. Please, if you can, help this family hold onto their dream, their animals, their farm business and home.
