Local family in need of help following violent crime
Donation protected
I am appealing for help for a local family who I know because our children attend the same school.
In the early hours of Wednesday 12th March 2025 at 1:30am the family who live in Bromley Heath near Bristol were violently robbed at knifepoint in their own home. The family car was stolen containing the children’s car seats, a purse and a pushchair. Some other items were also stolen from the home, however the biggest cost to the family will be the ongoing trauma of this terrifying experience. The family home is a rented property and the family now feel they need to move as the younger children are scared to be in the house. This is a cost they could do without. The car that was stolen was just a normal family car, purchased on finance. The insurance will cover the car but not the remaining finance amount leaving the family without a car and additional bills to pay. The police are searching for those involved but in the meantime this family could do with some financial assistance from the local community. The family are true victims having done nothing to deserve this terrifying attack. They initially resisted the idea of a GoFundMe but under these circumstances I think they deserve any help our community is prepared to give.
If anyone knows anything about this crime, if you saw anything in the early hours of Wednesday or if you have found any abandoned car seats, a pram or purse you can use the crime number to make a report. The crime number is 52/2507/3514.
The beneficiary of this GoFundMe is Sarah M who was the victim of this crime alongside her family.
