Help is at hand is a small Belfast charity that supports local people without judgement or bias. The sole purpose of the charity is to buy basic essentials, such as heating and food, for local families in desperate need.

The charity is run by a small group of volunteers who do their best to support as many people as they are able. They are funded entirely by donations, and in the past have had to turn people away due to lack of funds.

It is a horrific truth that even today, in the twenty-first century, there are still those in our local neighbourhoods who live in poverty, often through no fault of their own.

In October, I will be running the Dublin Marathon (26.2 miles!) to raise funds for this local charity. Please can help me to do my bit by sponsoring me so that I can reach my target? Every single penny will go to help someone to heat their home, and/or buy basic food for themselves or their children.
