Local Cafe Royal Grounds Assault & Theft Fund
Donation protected
On January 6th, Joanne Heider, owner (with husband Jim) of our beloved neighborhood coffee shop, Royal Grounds, was assaulted inside of her business. Two men came into the shop, stole her jacket and car keys, and then hit her in the face several times. They left with her car.
Joanne and Jim are dedicated to creating a warm and inclusive environment with deep thoughtfulness around racial justice and equality. They are always welcoming and have worked hard in this time of struggle to keep their doors safely open. Royal Grounds is a staple of our community.
Please consider donating to help with car loss expenses and medical expenses that may arise for Joanne.
Your support means so much.
If you live in Minneapolis, visiting the business is also deeply appreciated.
Royal Grounds, Joanne and Jim, are a part of making our community thrive.
