Loafers 7th Annual Toy Drive

Hi. Darin here. So I started this toy drive at the bar I work at in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago. The bar is called Loafers Bar. It's a classic neighborhood corner dive bar. It's got a light-up Old Style sign over the entrance, and customers love Malort.

Anyways, this is our 7th Annual toy drive and this year it is benefiting 2 amazing causes and organizations. As we have done every year, it will be benefitting the children at Swedish Hospital in Chicago. Do you know that it's the hospital Harrison Ford was born at? This is literally the birthplace of Han Solo AND Indiana f'n Jones!!! In 6 years, we collected and donated over 2500 toys for the hospital.

This year we are also collecting toys for the Friendship Center. It's a food pantry and much, much more. They serve over 500 clients every week who are struggling to put food on their table. And if affording food is a problem, toys for the holiday have to be immensely difficult.

So please help us this year with your generous donations. Every $5 you donate buys a new toy for a child. We're trying to help make a lot of kids' holidays just a little bit brighter. Thank you.
