Medical help for Lloyd Lockhart by Arlene Frank

Hi. This is Arlene Frank and I'm fundraising for my brother-in-law Lloyd Lockhart, Marlene Lockhart's husband. Lloyd has been battling health issues for a few years now.

Liver cancer was diagnosed and fortunately went into remission. At that time a liver transplant was recommended. Placement on the liver transplant is on hold, due to his declining health.

Lloyd has been in and out of the hospital recently resulting in 3 - 4 day stays at a time. Due to the liver not processing the ammonia levels when they get too high, Lloyd becomes disoriented and extremely confused, not recognizing anyone. Doctors are repeatedly adjusting his medications to stabilize him.

During one of his stays, a large tumor was found on the right side of his brain, near the frontal lobe. The neurosurgery dept. want to wait to hear what the liver transplant team decides before moving forward. Lloyd's platelets are dangerously low, thus the hesitation/ refusal of any surgery.

Lloyd has been unable to work for quite some time, with no income coming in, and a possibility of becoming permanently disabled, if not worse, without proper care. Lloyd has always been a very hard-working, dedicated worker.

Ambulance calls, ER visits, hospital stays and the many specialists involved with this type of illness have and most likely will continue. Without proper disability insurance, these incoming medical bills, household bills, etc will soon diminish any savings. Financial help is being addressed, along with any other assistance out there.
