Llantwit Fardre FC - 'Changing' for the better!

We'd like to create modern, accessible, inclusive and future-proofed new changing facilities and community space at our Tonteg Park home!

Who are we?

Llantwit Fardre Football Club was founded in 1958 and has been a proud and integral part of the wider community ever since. We're run entirely by an army of volunteers!

We now have teams from as young as under 6, all the way through to Seniors and Veterans football. We're also immensely proud of our rapidly growing girl's teams and our brand new Ladies team - all testament to the massive growth the club is experiencing and some of the main reasons behind this funding initiative.

Why are we crowdfunding?

With our rapidly growing membership - particularly with our girls and women's teams - we desperately need to expand and upgrade our changing facilities at Tonteg Park, which are cramped and dont allow for any segregation. They also can't be upgraded/expanded in their current position due to major works directly below them.

Our ambitious plan is to create brand new changing facilities at Tonteg Park - on the site of the disused toilet block - that will support ALL in our wider community for years to come. We hope to double the current changing capacity, significantly improve access, build in strong environmental sustainability and create full segregation between changing spaces.

Our plans - which have already been drawn up - will also include a new Community Space, which we hope will be used for a wide variety of community activities including new Mental Health Support Sessions facilitated by the football club.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We're expecting total project costs to be in excess of £280,000 (yep, that's a big figure!). Our hope is to crowdfund at least £60,000 towards these costs, every penny of which will go towards the goal of creating brand new changing facilities and a community space that will be used by all in our community for generations to come.

We're not not tone deaf and absolutely understand that this is a huge ask, especially in the current financial climate. But we're incredibly passionate about growing and improving the club, both on and off the pitch, and this is a huge part of those plans.

How you can play your part

There are 3 simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Fund raise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – just get in touch!
