Hello! My name is Asmita Adhikari and I am a first year medical student in Erie, Pennsylvania. It has been my life long dream to help the underserved through medicine and compassion. That is why I am going on a medical mission trip to Peru this summer, along with my fellow medical students. Please help me make a difference in the lives of the people of Peru by donating to this cause.
Details about the trip:
Our team is going on this trip through the International Service Learning (ILS) program (more information here ). We will be spending a week in Lima and another week in Cusco. We will be setting up clinics in rural areas near these cities where we will see hundreds of patients who lack access to good healthcare. Along with doctors, we will be triaging, taking vital signs, performing history and physical exams, and distributing medical supplies to the patients.
