LKQ Euro Car Parts Central Team Challenge 2023

The central team includes Central Support, Logistics, LKQ Bodyshop and Arleigh Group (LKQ Leisure and Marine).

We are organising various events from car washing to bake sales to sporting events.

We are aiming to raise money for important causes close to our hearts, both home and away:

1. How you are related to the person(s) you are raising funds for

We were not fundraising for an individual but for two charities and our Ukraine appeal. The two charities are Ben and Pieta, we have a longstanding relationship with both of the charities and have worked with them for a number of years when fundraising. We have been working with the Ukraine since the outbreak of the war and have supplied a number of ambulances and vehicles for the front line and have worked to help children affected by the war thanks to a partnership with the Congregation of St Joseph.

2. Your transfer plan to get the funds from your GoFundMe to the intended recipient(s)

We plan to transfer the money into one of our banks accounts as an intermediary and then will distribute between the charities. We have to do this as GoFundMe does not allow us to donate to multiple charities from one page and as mentioned we have three causes which we have fundraised for all on the same pages. We have been working with Ben and Pieta for a number of years and make donations to them regularly. The Ukraine money is kept in a separate account and is spent by us for our work supporting people in the Ukraine, providing aid and ambulances.

3. How the funds will be spent

The funds for Ben and Pieta will be spent by them to support the activities and day to day running of the charities, the money will not be spent by us. The Ukraine money will be spent on various vehicles (ambulances and medical aid etc.) which we will ship to the Ukraine.
