Help Lizz compete in the ParaDance World Championships 2025

My name is Lizz Bleakley I am 26 years old, I have been a Para dancer for 3 years. I live with a physical disability called Spina Bifida. This sport has allowed me the freedom me to dance without limits.

Since starting the sport my dance partner and I have won many local, national and state titles. We are currently 6 time Australian Champions therefore we have reached the top point that we can here in Australia so its now time to go to the next stage which is international competitions overseas.

In March this year we competed in our first international competition in Hong Kong. Although we practiced hard and prepared well for this competition where we were completely amazed to reach the final of the ballroom event of 17 couples and placed 4th!!

From this we have now officially qualified for the World Championships to be held in Slovakia in November 2025.

I would love to be able to go to the World Championship with my dance partner to pursue our para dancing goals and dreams, but this comes with a large financial outlay. which I could not manage on my own.

The costs that need to be covered include:

Dancing has given me a new lease on life, boosting my confidence and fitness and proven what is possible with dedication and hard work. I enjoy every minute of being on the dance floor as I feel I can be anyone I want to be with no judgement. Dance truly is for everyone!
