Liz, Lila, and Mia Paris

On Wednesday, December 7, 2022 two volunteer firefighters with the New Tripoli Fire Department were killed in the line of duty while battling a residential fire in Schuylkill County. One of those firefighters was Zach Paris (36) - a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and community servant.

Zach attained his lifelong goal of becoming a career firefighter in September of this year. Zach joined the Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Service in Maryland upon graduation. Since 2010, Zach has been a volunteer firefighter with New Tripoli Fire Department rising to the rank of First Assistant Chief. Since the age of 15, Zach was also involved with Blandon Fire Company. His mom shared that she would drive him to fire calls, or he would use his bicycle - placing his boots and gear in a basket.

Zach leaves behind a wife and two girls, Lila (8) and Mia (5). There are many unknowns and feelings to process now that a big part of their lives is gone. Please consider a contribution to help with expenses and the future of his girls.
