Seven years ago, my family and I visited an underprivileged school in a village in Cambodia and took supplies such as books, clothes, toys and sporting goods. When I saw firsthand the children's faces, and the excitement and joy that it brought to them, I knew then that one day I would want to go back and help further in some way. In June of this year, I am graduating from high school, and I have decided to embark on a volunteer trip with International Volunteer HQ. I will be volunteering for almost 2 months, in underprivileged areas in Vietnam and Cambodia. During these 2 months, I will be teaching and looking after young children and giving them a head start in learning English. Over the past 6 months, I have been working and have saved $2,000 towards this trip however, as a volunteer my trip is self-funded so I have created this page as a way of fundraising for this journey. I thank those that are generous in supporting this personal journey that I am about to embark on, and even if you would like to just post some words of wisdom and encouragement, it would be very appreciated. I also intend on posting on Facebook throughout volunteering, so that I can share my adventure with friends and family!
