Update: Change in Diagnosis
Dear supporters, Life has a way of changing course when you least expect it.
What we originally believed to be HES (Hypereosinophilic Syndrome) has now, after further testing, been diagnosed as Myeloproliferative Neoplasm (MPN)—a rare form of bone marrow cancer.
With this diagnosis comes the need for further testing to evaluate organ damage, as MPN has already affected the lungs. It’s been a heavy shift for our family, but we’re grateful for answers and the chance to move forward with more clarity.
We can’t thank you enough for the continued love, prayers, and support. It means more than we can express and gives us strength in the middle of so much uncertainty.
We’re also still raising funds for a much-needed new well. If you feel led to donate or share, we would deeply appreciate it—every contribution truly helps.
Thank you for standing with us—your support continues to help us move forward.
Hi everyone, my name is Brian, and I'm reaching out to share my health journey and ask for your support. Since November of last year, I've been dealing with a complex condition called hypereosinophilic syndrome, which has caused difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, and asthmatic attacks which made daily activities, including work, quite challenging. Despite the hurdles, I'm determined to find effective treatment options and regain my quality of life.
Currently, I'm awaiting a bone marrow biopsy to confirm my diagnosis and rule out any malignant possibilities, though the doctors are confident we are on the right path to a proper diagnosis. We are also exploring the possibility of starting a new medication called Fasenra. In the meantime, I'm managing my symptoms with steroids, which have their own set of side effects making life more challenging. I'm hopeful that Fasenra will help control my eosinophil levels and allow me to get off the steroids completely.
Adding to my health challenges, my family has been dealing with a water shortage on our property for the past six months. Our well has reached the end of its life, and we're in need of a new well to ensure a consistent daily supply of water.
Unfortunately, due to my reduced ability to work as a result of my health condition, my income has decreased significantly, making it nearly impossible for me to afford the cost of drilling a new well. I have negotiated with the well drilling company to allow us to do all the above ground work and connection to our home ourselves which has reduced the cost to $8,000. Your support would mean the world to my family and I, as it would help alleviate this financial stress and provide us with a reliable source of water. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering a donation.
