Help Tony After His Minibus Was Destroyed Outside Anfield

Hi, I’m Driver Matty.

I’m trying to raise some money for Tony, a lifelong Liverpool fan and local minibus owner, after an unfortunate incident outside Anfield.

Tony owns a Mercedes minibus which he has parked in the same spot every matchday for years. On the day Liverpool played Tottenham Hotspur — a historic day when Liverpool won the league — Tony parked as usual and went to the match with his two season tickets, something he has done loyally for over 40 years.

Sadly, during the celebrations, some fans climbed onto the roof of his minibus to get a better view and celebrate. This caused major damage: the roof has completely caved in, and the minibus has been written off.

Now Tony faces a huge financial hit. His insurance excess is £800, and he’s also facing higher premiums in the future. It’s a massive blow, especially after what should have been one of the proudest nights of his life as a Liverpool supporter.

After the match, I (Driver Matty) posted a TikTok and Instagram video about what happened, which quickly went viral. So many kind people asked if they could donate to help Tony get back on the road. That’s why I’ve created this GoFundMe page — working directly with Tony — to give those who want to help a way to contribute.

Tony has followed Liverpool all over the world — across Europe and even to Qatar — ever since his dad first took him to a game in 1967.
