Live like Zack Foundation

Mission: Our mission for The Live Like Zack Foundation is to help other parents move through life in the hospital when their kid who has recently went to through transplant surgery. Transplant surgery can be so unpredictable, and sometime you have to stay in the hospital longer than you thought. Bills don’t stop coming and life don’t stop moving. As a parent who found herself in the same situation where I had other babies at home and a household to manage while my child was in the hospital over 30 days. We want to be able to help parents and give them a little peace of mind. Apart of our mission to is help kids that have kidney disease and finding their people. Putting kids together that have things in common, that can talk things through when their health is overwhelming I always wanted that for my son.

Where did the name come from: The live like Zack foundation came from our late son Zackariah, who was born with chronic kidney disease and underwent a transplant surgery 2023, unfortunately he passed away only four months after transplant. All his life he has had to face this disease, this condition not one time did he let it stop him, he played basketball, he was the best big brother , he had friends , he loved , & he laughed. He was nice , sweet , innocent. If every one lived like Zack I feel the world would be a better place.

My name is Arivia Smith , my husband name is Desmond Smith we have 4 other babies here with us. I posted Zack goodbye video on TikTok and he went viral I took a terrible situation and turned into awareness and spread my son story and not going to stop what Zack went through mattered. We want to continue his story , while helping others.
