Little Willow American Flag Project

8 years ago, Harold Haugen started a community tradition by placing an American Flag in between the cliffs at Little Willow Canyon in Sandy, Utah.

Every year on the Saturday before the 4th of July, many neighbors and friends hike up both sides of the canyon to place a 30' x 60' American Flag. It remains there to remind us of our freedom and love of our country.

It has been vandalized 3 times over 8 years. One year the stars and stripes were riddled with 9 bullet holes.  This year, the flag came down due to equipment failure.

The flag has been repaired so many times and equipment needs to be replaced. We would also like to add security equipment in the area to help catch the vandals who have caused so many problems.

Please help in which ever amount that you can. All these proceeds will be given to Harold to order the supplies and even a new flag.  We need to retire the one that has taken on so much stress.

Thank you!
