HELP US SAVE OUR FIRE DEPARTMENT!

Washington, CA founded in 1849 by prospectors on the banks of the Yuba River in Nevada County. This incredible little town has flourished in the shadow of modernization. Once home to several thousand residents, we now support a population of about 150 intrepid souls.

In order to continue our line of heritage, WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Our community is surrounded by second generation old growth forests.

The fire danger here is very real. No agency seems willing to do anything.

So, it’s up to us and you.

Our volunteer department has been barely getting by. We need to upgrade equipment just to maintain safety standards for our staff. The list goes on from there…….
