Little Teddy’s Big Fight Help His Family Through His Journey

Donation protected

Since I created this Teddy story has taken another drastic turn as of 26/3/26
Unfortunately since surgery things have gotten a lot worse for Teddy. He’s now been diagnosed with epilepsy and we’ve also been informed that he has damage to his brain in multiple places.
As it stands we’re unsure what this means for teddys future, but what we do know is that we will not stop fighting for answers for our Teddy and we will do everything we possibly can to help him.
Right now Teddys not recognising who we are, or anyone close to him there’s no interaction with him, no smiles nothing. It’s honestly heartbreaking to watch and to know our once happy, smiley laid back Teddy is no longer there.

I want to help my sister and her family more than ever now to help give them as much help and support while teddys future is unknown.

As many of you may already know, my nephew Teddy has spent much of his life in and out of hospital.

Teddy has an extremely rare genetic condition called PKDCC. Alongside this, he also has subglottic stenosis, tracheomalacia, and narrowing into his lungs, which means breathing on his own is extremely difficult for him.

After careful discussions, Teddy’s medical team has decided that he now needs to have a tracheostomy fitted, and he may also require ventilation to help him breathe. This will mean a long hospital stay while Teddy recovers, and his parents, Claire and James, will need to undergo extensive training so they can safely care for him when he comes home.

Because of Teddy’s complex needs, Claire will no longer be able to work. This will make things incredibly difficult for the family financially. They will also need to make adaptations to their home so that Teddy can return safely, including preparing for overnight carers who will help support him.

Teddy also has four big brothers who are adjusting to this huge change in their lives. During such a challenging time, it would mean so much to be able to help the boys maintain some normality and still enjoy activities and time with their parents despite the financial pressures the family are facing.

We are hoping to raise funds to help take some of the financial stress and worry off Claire and James’ shoulders so they can focus on what matters most — caring for Teddy and being there for their family.

Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to them during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
