Little Steps Major Movements Charity Skydive

Hi, my name's Jess and I'll be jumping out of a plane from 12,000ft on May 20th to raise money for my dear friend Leanne Eastwells nonprofit organization, Major Movements!

Little Steps, Major Movements is a nonprofit organization for young children aged between 4 and 11 who have suffered the loss of a parent. Leanne set this group up a few years ago after sadly losing her partner Lee who left behind three beautiful children.

Leanne says..."Being a parent to a grieving child/children due to parent loss can leave you feeling lost and unsupported in parenthood. For me, I felt my son at the age of 4 years old wasn't ready for counseling. He one day simply just asked if he could meet other children who had lost their Mummy/Daddy too. So I started the group "Little steps Major Movements", we named it after my partner who passed away on 28th April 2019, Lee Winfield, 'Major' being his original birth name. In 2019 we had our first local meet with children from the local areas, 6 weeks later we had another meet at which point our group had gained 18 young members along with their parents/guardians. I feel the children get a real sense of connection to these other children, and if this group can make a difference in their younger years by supporting them with friends having experienced the same, then I believe the possible needed support for their future is already there "

Funds raised from my skydive will go entirely to the Major Movements group, the money raised will go towards things like arts and crafts materials, pay for day trips and activities, and also help towards their summer fete which takes place on June 2nd at Dover College cricket ground. Even though it is a fundraising event, there are still many hidden costs from businesses we need to use that are unable to donate their services. So please help me in raising as much money as possible for the children at Major Movements, every little helps and we're so grateful for any contribution. And anyone who wants to come and watch me throw myself out of an airplane, I'll be jumping from Headcorn on May 20th, chances of me fainting halfway down are highly likely haha!
