Hello, I’ll be traveling to Uttaradit, Thailand to volunteer at Paradanusorn School in February 2026 to support children in developing literacy and communication skills. This initiative is deeply personal and reflects my lifelong commitment to education, cultural exchange, and service.
Over the years, I’ve dedicated myself to uplifting communities through:
- Teaching literacy in Jamaica (2003) via George Brown College’s Human Services program
- Working as a social worker across Canada
- Hosting international students since 2017 to foster global understanding
- Teaching weekly Community (Karma) yoga classes, registered with Yoga Alliance
- Pursuing an Honours degree in Sustainable Environmental Management at York University
- Studying Spanish to deepen my cultural connections
This journey is more than teaching English—it's about nurturing resilience, confidence, and belonging in young learners.
To make this possible, I’m seeking support to help cover travel and accommodation costs. Every contribution—big or small—will directly support educational resources and allow me to fully dedicate myself to this service initiative.
**How You Can Help:**
- Donate to help fund the Paradanusorn classroom supplies
- Share this campaign with friends, family, and anyone passionate about education and global service
- Follow my journey—I’ll be sharing updates and reflections throughout my time abroad
In gratitude, I will share post-trip the impact of your support and the stories of the children whose lives you helped touch.
Thank you for believing in this mission and helping me carry forward the values of compassion, education, and global goodwill.
With love and gratitude,
S.
