What Makes Listen CI Camp Special?
Children who use CIs represent fewer than 0.02% of the U.S. population. Many rarely, if ever, encounter others who share their experiences. As they grow and begin to explore their identity, they often struggle to find where they belong, sometimes feeling excluded both from their typically hearing peers and the deaf community. This lack of belonging can magnify social, emotional, and educational difficulties. In addition, the stigma tied to hearing loss directly impacts hearing health outcomes. By connecting with peers who use CIs and practice listening and spoken language, children develop healthier self-perceptions, stronger advocacy skills, and greater confidence in their device use and the communication choices made on their behalf. These decisions shape their long-term ability to live a life of independence in a predominantly hearing world. Listen CI Camp provides a place to accomplish all of this!

Cost to Attend:
$2,907 - Actual total cost for a family of 4 to attend camp
$ 636 - Cost of all meals for a family of 4 during camp
Due to the medical, therapy, and often educational expenses faced by cochlear implant families, those attending camp are asked to pay only 43% of the actual cost of camp. Listen Foundation depends on your generosity to raise the remaining 57% of the cost for every family to attend. Additional financial assistance is available.
