Lisa Wells' Retirement
After 20 years of teaching at North County Christian Elementary School, Mrs. Wells is hanging up her expo markers for good and starting her much-deserved retirement. Mrs. Wells has touched countless lives through her joyful instruction, godly wisdom, and the Shurley grammar method. Far more than teaching 1st - 3rd graders, Mrs. Wells has organized chapels, directed Christmas and Easter programs, trained new teachers, guided parent volunteers, served as vice-principle, and done a host of other things necessary for excellence in Christian education that pleases the Lord.
The next step of life will be busy for her (no surprise) as she will be the primary caregiver for her 95 year old mother and being grandma to her grandchildren in South Carolina.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 prevents us from giving Mrs. Wells a proper NCCS sendoff in thanks for her two decades of service. This GoFundMe wasn't Mrs. Wells' idea (and she would probably protest!), but we know that many of her former students, parents of students, and others would like a way to say thank you for her investment in their lives. Teaching at a Christian school is a ministry and won't make you wealthy! If your life has been touched in some way by Mrs. Wells' ministry, please consider blessing her by adding to her retirement account here and passing it along to others you know have been similarly blessed!
*For transparency's sake: The administrators for this GoFundMe are Nate and Kate Brooks, Mrs. Wells' daughter and son-in-law, who are also former teachers at NCCS.
