L.I.P.A “Dare to Dream” Campaign

Hi, my name is Jenny. I am the Chairperson of The Leeward Islands Peoples Association in Manchester. We are raising funds for our “Dare to Dream Campaign” seeking your support, in helping us celebrate 50 years of Culturama in Nevis 2024 and also 76 Years of The Windrush Generation.

Baye and I, were proud and honoured to represent The L.I.P.A in The Manchester Carnival Queen and Princess Show 2023. I gained 3rd place and Baye came 2nd place respectfully.

Our aim is to turn our members dreams into reality, by providing an invaluable, historical and educational experience for them in Nevis and St. Kitts by participating in a Troupe, in Culturama/Nevis 2024.

This campaign is important to us, because as Caribbean descendants, we endeavour to show the children/adults their rightful heritage, culture, traditions and ancestral roots. We will achieve this, by visiting plantations, schools, museums and interacting with people from the local community.

Any donation, however small, will contribute towards our campaign of hope, as we turn dreams into reality, promoting a successful and memorable experience for everyone, sharing our memories, reflection, thoughts and ideas, with a series of workshops, discussions and presentations, to various audiences, on our return to Manchester.
