Lindsey and Will Barnes

Hi, my name is Kelly Hiers and I’m here asking for you to show love and support to one of my dearest friends, supporters, and fellow downtown small business owners Lindsey and Will Barnes.

Most people know the medical issues Lindsey and Will have been dealing with since January 2023, in terms of not being able to eat, no appetites, getting sick while eating, excessive weight loss. It’s been scary but they’ve found some ways to work around that as a specialist is working with them, but there is no diagnosis yet as to why they have these issues.

May 17th, 2023 Lindsey had blood drawn and by that night had started severe body tremors. They ranged in intensity and duration, sometimes lasting hours. Her Dr initially thought it was related to dehydration from getting blood drawn. As the days went by the symptoms started to get more and more intense. Lindsey’s body will go into tremors for hours at a time and cause her body to be in pain and severely exhausted for hours after.

Lindsey is already immunocompromised with celiac’s disease and that only exacerbates these problems even more. As she has been at the hospital the tremors have gotten worse.

Currently she is unable to stand or walk alone. Her body goes into severe tremors and her legs are at a point where she can’t stand because they’re shaking so bad and she loses the ability to control them.

As most of you know, Lindsey has a busy life. Two kids, her and Will are at their 6mo anniversary of getting married, and she owns her own interior design business. It’s hard enough to not be able to be mom but her inability to work the last few weeks has added even more stress. It’s unknown what they’re looking at in the near future with further testing, rehabilitation, and appointments makes that a challenge financially. She has an amazing team but Lindsey is the heart and soul of Navy and Gray, and her not being able to be there is hurting the business. Will is working full time and picking up side work as he can to help provide more support, but these financial needs will quickly begin to deplete what savings they have, and an unknown return to work for Lindsey makes the near future uncertain right now.
