Lincoln's Eagle Scout Project: Pet Lending Libraries
Donation protected
My name is Lincoln Bennie, member of BSA Troop 138 and current Eagle Scout candidate. I am working on an Eagle Scout Project, I plan to construct 2 "Pet Supply Lending Libraries" at Stoneridge Park and Upper Fall Run Park in Shaler Township. These Lending Libraries will benefit the community as it will provide a place for new and existing pet owners to gain supplies for free, instead of purchasing them at pet stores. These lending libraries will also promote sustainability as people will no longer throw away unwanted pet supplies, rather people can donate them towards the lending Libraries, keeping items circulating throughout the community and reducing waste. These Lending Libraries will be constructed using materials purchased from local hardware stores and donated supplies and tools, designing them on my own through created blueprints and planning sheets. I also plan to clean the areas where the Lending Libraries will be installed, trimming the overgrown vegetation. These lending libraries will be filled with leashes, collars, toys, etc. I hope this project will provide our community with an alternative means to gain these pet items and bring everyone closer together as they support pet owners and find what they need for their pet to thrive in our community. For this project to be fulfilled, I am asking for monetary donations to purchase the items needed to construct and fill the Lending Libraries. I feel the construction of these Lending Libraries will create a strong bond within the community, encouraging responsible pet ownership, ease financial stress, and promote a sharing mindset within the community.
Thank you for your consideration in donating for this cause.
