Lily's Expedition to Cambodia

Hi, I'm Lily, I am 14 years old and I'm fund raising for a four week trip to volunteer in Cambodia in August 2026 with Camps International and Mullion School.

The money I raise will directly impact the lives of those living in rural communities in Cambodia and help me to get there.

During the expedition we will work closely with Cambodian communities to support community development, help raise living standards, improve education and support ongoing wildlife conservation.

Cambodia remains one of the poorest countries in the world. Food shortages and lack of employment opportunities have left rural people vulnerable to continued poverty. We will be helping with vital community project work such as constructing water storage pots, improving infrastructure at the local school and refurbishing community buildings.

We will also be getting involved in environmental focused project work, including reforestation using native saplings and planting crops for the community that are both sustainable, and provide an income to the local people.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the communities and by visiting sites of historical importance I will learn more about Cambodia’s incredible culture and difficult history.

As part of my expedition, I will be taking on the challenge of an adventurous trek through the jungle, I will be trying and seeing things I have never seen before in an incredible environment.

This expedition will have a HUGE impact on my life and how I see the world, I am committed to raising the funds needed for this trip and I have lots of ideas. The fundraising alone will teach me many life skills.
