If you know Liliana Krenza AKA Lily Fangz AKA Lil F AKA Squid Wordz, you know a true love warrior. Lily has poured so much love, courage, and soul force into this world, into every life she touches. She's a beloved artist, sister, daughter, and friend to many.
Her compassion, her wicked sense of humor, her resilience, her strength to love, and her creative ability is both informed by the beauty and magic that precedes her as well as great pain and tragedy that has colored her life.
As strong as she is, lately, the illnesses and the chronic pain she's lived and dealt with for years have become debilitating and life-threatening. Many of us know she can be stubborn and isolating around her health, but she also often hasn't had the community support and care that she needs to help her navigate. The pain that Lily is in isn't hers to bare alone. It is our shared responsibility to care for our beloveds.
This is a call for all the people who love Lily to band together and care for our dear friend. At this point, she can longer hold up the front that she could ever bear this alone and she urgently needs community support, specialized healers, and medical care.
Some of her friends have decided to take initiative and start a community campaign to braid Lily's health with our own and make sure she gets the care she needs. This is not just a fundraiser. Our vision beyond supporting Lily is for this to initiate a community healthcare network that will show up to provide Lily with direct support and continue to exist as a responsive and response-able mutual aid network whenever any our fellow kin is in need of community care down the road.
To begin, we want to get this started for Lily without her involvement so that she can start this journey feeling how much love and support she has every step of the way. Let's make miracles for this angel who has blessed all of our lives!
Right now, Lily knows there is some support rallying around her, but doesn't know exactly what we're up to, so please don't tell her! We'll be gifting this to her in a non-spectacled way at Duffy's birthday party on May 4. If you're receiving this, you are invited to the party. Text Duffy if you haven't received an invite by 4/20.
This gift is just the beginning. We want her to have the funds to start getting the care she needs, as well as living expenses covered for the next 3-6 months with some directions laid out for immediate next steps.
The goal of phase 1 of this campaign is to gather the support network and initiatory funds. After Lily is brought in, we'll begin working with her to navigate the road ahead and start organizing a care team to make sure Lily is always getting the support she needs.
