Lili Marie
Donation protected
Four years ago, my sister Annelies and her husband Lieven lost their first child, Lili Marie, right before birth on the 1st of March. They received a lot of support from the organisation “Boven de wolken”, a charity that helps parents going through similar events.
Four years ago, I was also training for the London Marathon. One of my trainings was to run the half marathon of Paris, the “semi-de-Paris”. This race was shortly after Lili Marie decided not to start her journey with us. Both her parents wanted me to still run the race, because that would have been what she wanted. I made a t-shirt with her name which I wore during the race.
In remembrance of Lili Marie, I decided I will cycle this leap year from London to Paris on the 28th and the 29th of February, and then run the “semi-de-Paris” on the 1st of March as I did four years ago.
On the 28th I’ll Cycle from my flat in London to the port of Newhaven - 100km, where I will take the night boat to Dieppe. From Dieppe to Paris there is another 180km of cycling to be conquered. One night of sleep will hopefully be enough to get the legs re-energised for the running race.
I hereby would like to ask your support for Lili Marie by raising money for the charity

Hoping she’ll be proud of her uncle,
