My name is Sarah, and I am a yoga teacher, storyteller, and project manager who believes education should nurture creativity, curiosity, and the soul - the remembering of who we are before status, titles and our names, not memorization or performance. 

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of bringing people together through retreats, teaching, and community spaces. Again and again I’ve witnessed what happens when people are given the space to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and rediscover their gifts. 

Lighthouse for Gems was born from that experience. It is a vision for a new kind of learning space. One that brings together education, nature, creativity, and community so people of all ages can grow, heal, and discover who they truly are.

This is not just a school. It is a seed. A beacon. A home for the revolution of consciousness that starts with how we raise our children and how our children teach us.

Why This Matters

The current education system was designed for a world that no longer exists. One that valued compliance over creativity, performance over presence, and standardization over soul.

The evolution starts with our children and they deserve more. 

They deserve:

∙ To learn through nature, play, and wonder, not fear and pressure

∙ To be seen as individuals, not statistics or test scores

∙ To grow into free-thinking, compassionate humans, ready to co-create a better world

∙ Educators who are guides, not gatekeepers, who light the way rather than control the path

These children are gems. They just need the right light to shine.

What This Money Will Do

This first $10,000 will fund the founding phase of Lighthouse for Gems:

∙ Land and location research 

∙ Legal and organizational setup 

∙ Visits to model schools 

∙ A founding gathering weekend    

∙ Website and community hub 

This project will grow in phases, beginning with small steps and expanding with the support of community. 

Phase 1 — Initiation and Foundation.  

The first step is to begin creating the community and programming that Lighthouse for Gems will grow from. Funds raised in this stage will support: 

 • Hosting small retreats and workshops that bring people together for learning, creativity, and personal growth 

• Developing educational programming and curriculum for the future school 

• Building the Lighthouse for Gems community and network of teachers, facilitators, and supporters 

• Exploring land and location opportunities for the future space.

This phase allows the vision to begin living in the real world, not just as an idea.

Phase 2 — Design and Creating a Dedicated Space.

The next phase is securing a location where Lighthouse for Gems can grow — a space for living, retreats, workshops, and learning experiences in nature. 

Phase 3 — Implementation and Building the School and Community.

With a foundation of programs, supporters, and community, the long-term vision is to establish a learning environment that includes: 

• educational programs for children and adults 

• retreats and creative workshops 

• community spaces for connection and growth
