Dear friends and family,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mel Stuber who is currently facing one of the most difficult times of her life. Her beloved mother Mary has entered the final stage of a terminal illness. For 3 weeks in the spring and then 6 weeks this summer before returning home, she selflessly stepped away from work and other responsibilities to be by her mother’s side—offering love, comfort, and during these precious final days she is needed once again. This will be her third trip this year.

While she is trying to hold her family together with grace and strength, the financial burden of this time is becoming overwhelming. With travel expenses, and day-to-day bills piling up, it’s simply too much for one person to carry alone.

This is where we, as a community, can step in and help lighten that load. Every donation—no matter the size—will help cover Mel’s essential expenses so she can focus fully on being there for her mom, without the added stress of financial strain.
