Hi! My name is Alissa DeNorchia.

In March 2022 my son Luca was diagnosed with autism at 13 months. I never expected to carry a heart that was torn between love and grief. Though our journey is far different than we anticipated, It has been an extremely beautiful one. One filled with inch stones instead of milestones. One filled with more patience than I ever knew possible, and whole lot of learning. Watching him grow each and every day is such a gift. April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day. But we celebrate the whole month of April, dedicated to spreading awareness.

Awareness is knowing autism exists, acceptance means autistic children never have to prove they belong.

Autism affects millions of people worldwide, yet many still face challenges due to a lack of understanding, resources, and support. That’s why I’m launching this GoFundMe—to help spread awareness, provide support, and make a real impact in the autism community. Unfortunately, many families struggle to access the resources and services they need. By supporting this campaign, you are helping so many of the families at my son's therapy center alone. Families who cannot afford the therapies their children desperately need. To thrive in a world that’s still not as understanding as we wish one day it will be.

Every dollar donated will go directly to Mindful Sprouts to give to the families who desperately need funding for therapy for their children. Whatever is left will be used to organize educational workshops. No contribution is too small—every bit helps make a difference!
