Clifton Residents' Association is run by a small but dedicated group of village volunteers whose aim is to make the events they run, (particularly Light up Clifton), free at point of entry, with as many free activities as we can possibly provide! Of course, we all know that nothing in this world is actually "free”, and the cost of all this free stuff keeps going up. And up, and up, and, well, you get the idea!

Last year we planned to run a land train, (aka “The Polar Express!) for the children to ride to and from our Santa's Grotto. Sadly, Storm Darragh forced Light up Clifton indoors - so, no Polar Express.

We know that a lot of you were really looking forward to seeing your children ride the Polar Express and the disappointment when we had to cancel was shared by us all. When we tried to book for this year, to our astonishment the cost of the train has risen by 114%. (No, it makes no sense to us either and yes, we have tried to get the price down!)

Therefore, we are reaching out to you, our ever-supportive community, to help if you can. All donations will go towards the hire of the Polar Express Land Train so the young ones can not only enjoy Light up Clifton 2025 but also have free rides to Santa's Grotto!

Thank you so much for donating and sharing our fundraiser!

P.S. A note for your diary: Light up Clifton 2025 is on Saturday 6th December starting at 4.00pm.
