Who We Are
We are Lumina Africa Foundation, a youth-led nonprofit organization in Northern Uganda committed to empowering young people, women, and marginalized communities through digital skills, quality education, and access to healthcare.
Born out of the challenges of post-conflict Northern Uganda, Lumina Africa Foundation was founded to ignite hope and create opportunities for communities that have long been left behind.
The Challenge
Northern Uganda is still healing from years of conflict and poverty. Today:
Thousands of young people lack access to ICT tools and digital opportunities.
Many students have limited access to mentorship and educational resources.
Healthcare services remain scarce, with mental health and reproductive health heavily stigmatized.
These challenges trap many in cycles of poverty and limit their potential.
Our Solution
With your support, Lumina Africa Foundation is implementing projects that directly address these challenges:
Digital Inclusion: Establish ICT hubs to equip at least 500 young people with digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and safe internet use.
Education & Mentorship: Provide mentorship, learning resources, and leadership training to help students thrive in school and beyond.
Healthcare Access & Awareness: Run health outreach programs focusing on mental health, sexual and reproductive health, and community wellness.
Your contribution will help us bridge gaps, open doors, and transform lives.
How Your Support Helps
Every donation makes an impact:
$25 provides reading materials for 5 students.
$50 supports one month of internet access at an ICT hub.
$100 sponsors a mentorship workshop for young girls.
$250 supports a health outreach in a rural community.
No amount is too small — together, we can light the path to opportunity.
