I've never been one to ask for help but I am now.
My name is Jason Beam and my wife Jennifer and I are leading the campaign- Lifting Daniel. Our family has been fortune enough to work with Daniel's Mom, Abelina, over the last 4 years and have grown very fond of her and her family. The Reyes family has overcome many obstacles over the past few years and are now faced with another one.
Abelina's 11 year old son, Daniel, has been diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, and the odds seem to be against him. Daniel is a selfless, hardworking, inspirational young boy. This year has been exceptionally hard for Daniel though. He's lost the use of his legs and while he could walk a little and get out of his chair last year, this year he's been bound to it. His family has been blessed with a new motorized chair that accommodates his needs better, but now their means of transportation must be upgraded to accommodate Daniel and his chair.
I'm looking to raise $10,000 to help with the cost of converting their van into a handicap van with motorized lift. Transportation is currently provided for educational purposes only. Due to Daniel's worsening condition , there is a struggle every day he must travel. Helping fund this cause will alleviate some of the pressure his mom , Abelina, faces each day.
