Let’s Lift Some Spirits This Holiday Season – 25 Years Strong! ✨

As the season of giving approaches, we're proud to carry on a tradition that’s been touching lives for 25 incredible years. What began with a handful of volunteers at Monk McQueen’s has grown into a legacy of compassion that now lives on through the amazing team at Lift Bar & Grill.

Each December, we rally together — current staff, former team members, and generous friends — to bring holiday cheer to families across the Lower Mainland. This year, we’re setting our sights high once again: providing complete Christmas dinner baskets to at least 30 families who could use a little extra support.

These families are referred to us through the Vancouver School Board and face a range of challenges: single-parent households, serious illness, newcomers to Canada, or other difficult circumstances. Each basket includes a full holiday meal — turkey, trimmings, rolls, veggies, desserts, and even step-by-step cooking instructions. When funds allow, we also include grocery gift cards or small toys to help make the holidays a little brighter.

How You Can Help

Donate: Every dollar makes a difference — whether it’s $5 or $50. Donations can be made through our GoFundMe page.

Volunteer: Join us on Christmas Eve at 10 AM at Lift to help deliver the baskets. For many, it’s become a meaningful holiday tradition and a great way to give back.

2025 has brought its share of challenges, but together, we can turn the holidays into a season of joy for those who need it most.
